- The student Senate at UAlbany needed a way to keep track of all the legislation they worked on each year. A JavaScript based database was created to track and display each bill, the status of each bill, and how each Senator voted on each bill for the public to review.
- Dippikill, Inc needed a way to display photos of their various lodges, and their reservation availability. A CSS based photo box was implemented to complement the details of each cabin. A Google Calendar based solution allowed staff at Dippikill and off-site reserve cabins while the public could see in real-time the availability of a cabin.
- The Presidential Honors Society at UAlbany has over 200 students completing over 10,000 hours of community service each year. Their method of one person keeping track of service, dues paid, and meeting attendance in one giant spreadsheet became unsustainable. A PHP/MySQL custom website was created to allow multiple officers to track community service, due, and attendance while also allowing member to check their records. In addition, officers were able to run reports to see the most popular projects by the number of volunteers or by the number of hours.
- The “Read for Ronald’ program at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Albany needed help setting up and customizing their fundraising portal. The backend was supported by the Kintera Sphere platform for non-profits and customized to fit the needs of the program.
- The Student Association at UAlbany wanted to use their website to promote student events. A blog feature was integrated into the homepage allowing non-technical users to easily update the homepage with new events or announcements. A separate calendar page was created powered by Google Calendars that allowed student staff to post events hosted by SA and those hosted by student groups.
